Determination of pesticide residues and risk assessment in some vegetables grown in Tokat province

This study was carried out to determine the pesticide residue levels and health risk assessments in tomato, pepper, cucumber grown Tokat province of Turkey. A analytical method verified 260 pesticides by using a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Pesticide solutions at 10 50 µg kg­¹ doses were fortified with pesticide-free matrix for verification method. The linearities (R2), limit detection (LODs), quantification (LOQs), mean recovery values ranged between 0.990-0.999, 0.71-2.96 ?g kg­¹, 2.36-9.86 77.25-117.61%, respectively. 28 vegetable samples collected from determined Seventeen different detected 16 samples, concentrations 3 higher than allowable limits European Union Maximum Residue Limits (EU-MRL). pyridaben level 1 pepper sample, metrafenone 2 threshold stated EU-MRL. results indicated that these have chronic toxicity potential consumers.
